Tansforming Lives Through Education In Rural Nepal
Our Story
From Humla With Hope: The Birth of PPEF
The Pragati Path Educational Foundation (PPEF) was established on June 16, 2024, in Sharkegad-2, Humla, with a heartfelt mission to transform lives through education. Our journey began when we met two young children whose unwavering passion for learning, despite facing severe hardships, deeply moved us. Their story reflected a broader reality — a community where access to education is a distant dream for many. This powerful moment ignited our commitment to make a difference.
Education as a Pathway
In Humla, nearly 85% of the population remains illiterate, and most families survive on less than $150 a year. This stark reality highlighted the urgent need for educational support. In response, PPEF was founded as a beacon of hope — an organization devoted to providing essential educational resources and creating meaningful opportunities for children and families. Our ultimate goal is to break the cycle of poverty through education, one child at a time.
We are dedicated to creating lasting change in our community through education. By implementing this comprehensive operational plan, we aim to empower children and families with the educational opportunities they need to build a brighter future.
Our Programs
Educational Support Program
We support education by providing students with books, stationery, uniforms, and casual attire annually. We also offer scholarships to deserving students based on academic performance and financial need.
Learning Centers
We establish a resourceful library and lab, and conduct regular coaching and classroom sessions in core subjects. These initiatives aim to enhance learning and support students academically.
Personal Hygiene Program
We promote student well-being through hygiene education and by providing essential hygiene products. Monthly health check-ups with local health professionals will ensure regular screenings and medical support.
